Getting selected for PoSSUM, Polar SubOrbital Science in the Upper Mesosphere, a project supported by the NASA Flight Opportunities Program was an honor and a great opportunity for me! I got to learn a lot about the phenomenon in our upper atmospheric layers, the noctilucent clouds, about astronautics. I got to put myself to test experiencing high-G’s in aerobatic aircrafts and hypoxia in the hyperbaric chamber and I learned I am strong to handle the high-G’s and sensitive enough to recognize the symptoms of hypoxia!
Pictures speak louder than words so here’s a collection of pictures to share my experiences as I became a Scientist-Astronaut Candidate
