High Altitude Airborne Campaign

Some moments from the High Altitude Airborne Campaign that I participated in as a Project PoSSUM Scientist-Astronaut Candidate. This citizen science program is aimed at studying the Noctilucent Clouds that occur in our upper mesosphere at an altitude of 80 kms, in the summer months only in the higher latitudes between 50 to 70 degrees. These clouds have been observed only since 1885 and their appearance remains a mystery. Their gradual increase might be related to climate change and hence it becomes important to study them and understand their impact on our planet. Project PoSSUM focuses on this study and gives citizens the opportunity to participate in and contribute towards an important research. Through these pictures I share my awesome PoSSUM experience with you all
